Chapter 1
How We Met

Xris was in marketing, and Hanieh was in Neuroscience. Yet, through friend group study sessions at the library, we met and became friends for a couple years before one day seeking out a red sangria.

Chapter 2
In Search of the Sangria

One night, with the rest of our friend group away at Tavern in the Square, we decided to hang out. Just the two of us — in search of a place serving a red sangria on a late Saturday night.

After hopping from bar to bar, we finally found it — just for it to end up being a white sangria. Despite that, we spent hours talking and bonding that night.

Chapter 3
Moving In

Within our first year of dating, we were hit by a pandemic. Turns out, being stuck at home with the right person is pretty great.

Chapter 4
Adopting Mocha

One day we decided to go visit a shelter, just “to see” what they had. Next thing you know, we were walking out with a four legged friend and our carpets have been covered in hair ever since.

You'll get to meet him at our wedding!

Chapter 5
Our Love of Traveling

Our first vacation together was in Havana, Cuba. Since then, we've made it a goal to travel and eat our way through the globe as often as possible.

Sometimes, that means traveling to London to watch Taylor Swift. Again.

Chapter 6
The Mundane & Magical

Between the big adventures, it's the quiet everyday moments that mean the most. Cooking together, morning walks with Mocha, lazy Sundays on the couch.

Chapter 7
The Proposal

With the Boston skyline as a backdrop, Xris proposed in the Seaport district on a beautiful April afternoon. And thus began fiancé life!

We can't wait to celebrate this next chapter with you.

Frequently Asked

When should I RSVP by? +
Friday, March 12, 2027.

If we don't hear back by the RSVP deadline, we'll plan as though you're unable to attend. If something changes, feel free to reach out — though we may not be able to accommodate late responses.
Is the wedding indoors or outdoors? +
Both the ceremony and cocktail hour will be held outdoors but under large tents/covers (you will not need to walk on grass). The reception will have AC indoors.

The weather will be warm (hopefully around mid 80s at peak), but in addition to being under shade/tents, we'll provide small handheld fans!
What time should I arrive at the ceremony? +
Please arrive early and be seated by 4:00 PM. Guests who are not seated by this time will unfortunately not be able to take part in the ceremony.
Is there a dress code? +
April in Orlando means mid-80s during our outdoor celebrations. Cocktail attire or formal wear is perfect — dress comfortably and save the white for the bride!
Are kids welcome? +
Our wedding day will be adults-only. We hope you can still enjoy a fun trip to Orlando with your kids around the wedding!
Is there parking for the ceremony or reception? +
Yes! Parking is available for all guests, whether or not you're staying at the hotel. On the day of the wedding, self-parking at the event lot is complimentary. If you are staying overnight, self-parking is $37 and valet is $52 (discounted overnight rates are available for guests staying at the hotel).
Will there be an open bar? +
Duh.
Is the venue wheelchair accessible? +
Yes!
Will either of you be changing your last name? +
In a shocking reversal of tradition, the groom is not taking the bride's last name. Take that, patriarchy.

Enjoy this clip from when we saw Taylor Swift at Wembley Stadium

(We'll be keeping our current legal names, Hanieh Hosseini and Xristian Tjakra)
Who do we contact if we have more questions? +
Feel free to text either of us:
Xris (617-690-9360) or Hanieh (703-474-7673).
Or email us at haniehandxris@gmail.com.
